Combine Burgundy's wine & heritage over 2 days

Day 1: The Burgundy wine must do’s

2 to 3 tastings - 10 to 20 wines including several Premiers Crus & Grand Cru


  • Pick up from your hotel at 9.30am (or from Dijon/Beaune train station).
  • Travel through winemaking villages to the north of the Côte de Beaune.
  • Stop off on the Corton hillside, a unique location in Burgundy for red and white Grands Crus.
    Prestige tasting at a wine cellar: elegant Pinot Noirs and unoaked white wines. 

Wine tasting lunch 1 at a family run estate in the Côte de Nuits or Côte de Beaune. Your choice of the estate’s wines paired with typical Burgundy dishes and cheeses. (Closed Sundays)

Or lunch 2 at a vineyard restaurant. Traditional, elegant cuisine in an idyllic setting. 

  • Head to Burgundy’s « Champs-Elysées » along the Côte de Nuits Grands Crus Wine Road: Vosne-Romanée, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny,… Stop off at Romanée Conti and Clos de Vougeot.  
  • After lunch stroll through the vineyards to discover the local winegrowing practices and the history of Burgundy’s wines.
  • Private tasting in a traditional cellar, in a Pinot Noir lover’s paradise. Visit a boutique winery and discover the greatest examples of this grape variety in relation to the Terroir (soils). Meet the winemaker.
  • Drop off at your hotel at 5.30pm.

Day 2: Country roads and medieval heritage


  • Pick up from your hotel at 9.30am. 
  • Journey through the rolling Auxois countryside, along  the quaint country roads.
  • Discover the 18th century Burgundy canal, picture postcard landscapes along the waterfront.
  • Visit Semur-en-Auxois, a medieval village that has been preserved throughout the ages. Enjoy its picturesque boutiques, cafés and terraces.

Savor Lunch at a traditional restaurant in the countryside, a perfect setting to immerse yourself in the local culture. Regional cuisine and local cheeses are on the menu.  

  • Drive through Alésia, the famous battleground where Julius Cesar beat Vercingétorix’s gaulois army in the year 52BC.
  • Option 1: Walk through  Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, listed as one of “the most beautiful villages in France”. This is where the film “Chocolat” was made. Visit the factory and boutique producing the famous “Flavigny aniseed” sweets (depending on opening times). Visit the 12th century Fontenay Abbey, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Stroll through its beautiful ornamental gardens and follow the trail of the Cistercian monks.
  • Option 2: Stroll through the pretty village of Vézelay and enjoy a spectacular view over the valley. Visit the Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
  • Drop off at your hotel in Dijon/Beaune  or at the train station at about  5.30pm.

  • # "Iconic Wine Estates": Add 4 wines from the most exclusive Burgundy estates (examples : Leroy, Méo-Camuzet, Dujac, Armand Rousseau, Comte de Vogue, Clos des Lambrays...subject to avalaibility) in a private cellar. +95 € per person
